Amy Tipton, SLP
Senior Vice President, Operations - East Territory
Amy Perry Tipton was named Senior Vice President, Operations in January 2015. She is also responsible for Medical Records and Vitality to You.
Amy joined the company in 1999 as a Program Manager, and was promoted to Area Director in West Virginia from 2001 to 2003. She served as a Senior Area Director from 2003 to 2005, overseeing operations in West Virginia and Virginia, and was promoted to Vice President, Operations for Territory 4 in 2005.
Amy is a licensed, nationally certified speech-language pathologist with skilled nursing and long-term care experience. Her long-term care management experience spans the past 20 years, having worked with other rehab companies both in operational and clinical roles prior to joining Genesis.
She is a member of the West Virginia Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Amy also serves as a member of the Nursing Home Council for the West Virginia Medical Institute. She is on the advisory board for Mountwest Community and Technical College Physical Therapy Assistant Program and a member of the West Virginia Health Care Association. She also proudly serves on the Board for the Genesis Employee Foundation.
Amy earned a Master of Arts in Communication Disorders from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.
The East Territory is comprised of the following states: AL, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MS, NC, NH, NJ, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, VT, and WV.
