GRS News Archive

Formation Capital and JER Partners privatized Genesis HealthCare over the summer. As a result of this transaction, Formation Capital brought a sister company, In-House Rehab, to us through common ownership. Effective January 1, 2008, Formation will combine In-House Rehab with Genesis Rehab Services, creating one company under the Genesis Rehab name.

Genesis will grow dramatically; we will welcome as many as 600 clinicians and approximately 100 centers to our team as a result of this partnership. We are working hard to ensure that this transition is seamless for our newest employees and business partners who will enjoy everything that we at GRS may take for granted, including advanced technological resources, superior clinical support, cutting-edge recruiting initiatives and enhanced benefit programs. With the addition of In-House we will add three new states to our service area, including Michigan, Indiana and Kansas.

The growth of GRS will enable us to make a positive difference in the lives of more patients. Please look for more information about our plans to welcome In-House to the Genesis Rehab Services team.

Remember to put your pedometer on in the morning when you're getting ready for your day – and wear it for all your activities of the day.  The pedometers are made to count the steps you take but will count some additional random movements.  That's okay, the idea is to get more active and have fun.  Check your total periodically through the day and write your total on the log at the end of the day when you're getting ready for bed.  Steps and activities outside of work count too.  Once you've filled in a weeks worth of walking, give a copy to your Local Team Leader so that your steps count toward the team total. If you have questions, contact Jean Reynolds via the LAN.
